In preparation for the 2018 Felabration senior secondary school debates, which will hold on Wednesday 10th October, the organizing committee held a one-day capacity building seminar for the teachers of the participating schools at Freedom Park (formerly the colonial prison), which has been a supportive partner for Felabration school debates and other related activities.
The capacity building seminar speaker Chief Christopher Borha, an alumni of Igbobi College, Lagos and veteran debater highlighted memorization, too much cliché styles (use of unproven quotes in the opening), dramatization and unnecessary gesticulations as areas of weaknesses as he implores participating secondary school teachers to discourage such displays from their school representing students.
In attendance are: Dr. Dotun Ransome – Kuti (Felabration Committee Member), Morenike Nedum (Head, Felabration Schools Debate), Peter Clarke (Felabration 2018 Project Manager), Michael Okorie (Felabration 2018 Project Assistant), TOJ (Seminar Photographer) and Lucia Ikediashi (Creative Director, Shimmers Production Services)
