Art Castle Academy dance group has emerged overall winner in Felabration 2019 Afrobics Dance Competition which was held at the New Afrika Shrine, Ikeja, Lagos Nigeria.

Kings and Queens Art Academy and Ennovate Dance House narrowly escaped with the second and third place positions respectively as Glorious Art Productions, Kalakuta Klan, Rexwin & Africa 90 and the 2017 maiden edition Afrobics Dance Competition winner, Star Kids all qualified for the final stage from the seventeen dance groups that participated.

The capacity filled auditorium of the New Afrika Shrine was thrilled to creative dance moves to different Fela’s songs. Two dancers from Femi’s the positive force also entertained all present at the Afrikan Shrine. Onome also showed off her electrifying dance moves that earned her the rightful position as the 2018 Afrobics Dance Competition winner.

The five man judge comprising of Funke Kuti, Segun Adefila, Liadi Adebayo, Kunle Kuti and Jahman Anikulapo had to seat at the edge of their chairs, with gasp of air and microscopic judging lenses actively on during the competition as they all never had it easy during any of the elimination stage and in picking the overall winner in the 2019 edition of Felabration Afrobics Dance Competition.

Moderated by the duo of Yeni Kuti, Felabration convener and daughter of Afrobeat legend late Fela Anikulakpo Kuti, and Djay Raymond Brown, a veteran disc jockey and chief operation officer of Brown Hill Radio.

The Afrobics Dance Competition just nipped the ball on the board as all fun seekers and lovers of Afrobeat looks forward to Felabration 2019 with the theme “From Lagos with Love
