Ipakodo Senior Secondary School has emerged the overall winner in the 2019 edition of Felabration Senior Secondary Schools Debate. Green Spring Schools Anthony Village, Epe Senior Secondary School, Oke Odo Senior Secondary School, and Randle Senior Secondary School came second, third, fourth and fifth respectively.

Baptist Academy Senior Secondary School, Rainbow College, Ronic Comprehensive College, Oregun Senior Secondary School and New Era Girls Senior Secondary School which replaced the absent Vivian Fowler Memorial College were the Senior Secondary Schools that participated in the Felabration 2019 Schools Debate with the topic “Persons above the age of 70 should not be allowed to contest political positions”

According to the Felabration Schools Debate scoring guidelines, each debaters from the participating schools are awarded 20 marks each as follows; understanding of the topic/introduction, content of arguments, confidence and demeanour, articulation and diction and overall impression.

Although, No draw or tie is allowed, the judge have the permission to add one additional point to the debater deemed winner as a maximum of 10 marks will be automatically deducted by the judge from the debater that refuses to obey the timekeeper, uses inappropriate language or displays inappropriate behaviour. Each of the five judges – Chief Christopher Borha, Mr Makinde Adeniran, Mrs Morayo Afolabi Brown, Miss Jumoke Alawode James and Mrs Nimahtalaht Akasat Zibiri gets individual and separate score sheet for each debater representing each participating school. This score sheet is then signed by the judges after inputting the details of the representing school debater.

Anchored by Yaw, an On Air Personality (OAP) cum actor whose birth name is Steve Onu have in attendance the Kuti family, veteran cinematographer Tunde Kelani, students and teachers from participating senior secondary schools, dignitaries from the Lagos State Educational Board, Architect Theo Lawson who redesigned the former colonial prison on broad street, Lagos into a tourist and relaxation event centre known as Freedom Park the venue that hosted Felabration Schools Debate and members of the press from traditional and new age media.

The 10 participating senior secondary schools for the Felabration Schools Debate got a professional speaker and professional pro–bass guitar from the Felabration Organising Committee.
