Maparare is a Yoruba word meaning “don’t kill yourself”. Maparare which was produced by Heaven Boy is an afro–pop inspirational fast tempo upbeat song with a pitch of danceable beat resembling dancehall rhythm from the reggae genre.

Maparare is Biggy Rankey’s (formerly known as BigMan) released second single that is out rightly different from his sing–jay reggae style that he is identified with upon kick starting his musical career after been discovered by Covenant Child in 2015 during Ital Sounds Riddim Clash.

Biggy Rankey in the lyrics encourages today’s youths, yesteryears teenagers and today’s young adults not to easily give in to vices because of the pressure of earthly materialism that fades away easily.
