Monday 17th February 2020, twelve lucky teens happily opened an Access Bank Plc early savers account courtesy of OzzyBee’s Smile Foundation. Each of the teen’s bank account was credited with ten thousand naira by OzzyBee.
This initiative, according to Oziomachukwu Favour Mojekwu, is to encourage and promote the culture of savings among growing teens as he became an Access Bank (then Diamond Bank) account holder when he was six months old.
Although, some parents were speechless, some parents did speak out. “A welcome and unique initiative especially from a celebrity teenager” – said by the parent of one of the teenagers. Another parent couldn’t hold her tears of joy. In commending OzzyBee, she prayed and asked GOD to continually bless Ozioma.
The twelve teenagers were randomly chosen after giving the right answers to the quiz questions asked on OzzyBee Facebook account which is managed by his amiable team headed by his mother popularly known as “Mummy B”.
Speaking with the media in attendance at the Opebi Branch of Access Bank Plc in Lagos State, “this is only a starter, the responses from Facebook and the winners was impressive as we are motivated in making this saving culture among teens quarterly across other branches of Access Bank in Nigeria”
OzzyBee as at today remain Nigeria and Africa’s most decorated entertainer as his new single Superman, alongside his debut album titled “Journey of Life” is getting airplay across traditional and new media.
